Coconut oil is an edible oil extracted from a mature coconut kernel or meat from coconut trees. Philippines is the country with the most coconut and export coconut oils in the world, followed by Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New, Guinea. Dry coconut kernels are the main commercial products of coconut. They are mainly used for coconut oil squeezing. The oil content is usually 50 % to 60 %.

Usually there have two ways to get the VCO（Virgin coconut oil），wet method and dry method.
Coconut pre -treatment, including cleaning, dehusking, deshelling, peeling, drying and crushing process.
First use the shell peeling machine and the peeling machine to clean the coconut to remove the brown shell of the coconut without destroying the kernel. Then wash and bleach in boiling water for few minutes, and the washed coconut will be sterilized insure the clean.
Coconut copra is the big dried coconut meat. The crusher is used to break the coconut copra into small pieces, then press the coconut copra into a thin piece with a rolling machine, and expand the surface oil of the coconut dry.
Then use steam cooker to heat the coconut dry for 20 minutes. Under this condition, due to the rupture of the fat cells, the phospholipids precipitated, and the moisture drops to 3-5 %.
After steaming process, the coconut piece are sent to the oil press machine continuously and squeezed the oil continuously. The processed coconut residue oil is 7 %.

Use the vibrating filter remove the big residue in the coconut filter. Then use the centrifuge machine to separate two immiscible substances. Coconut milk is the natural oil in water emulsion. After centrifuged, oil and skim milk is separated. Coconut oil is separated from coconut milk.
Tuber filter also called micro filter, to get pure oil further without any residue, then pump it into the oil storage tank.
Physical refining is the best choice for coconut oil processing, including deguming, neutralization, bleaching, deodorizing and other processes to improve the FFA indicators and oil quality and extend the storage time.
Coconut oil does not require strict degumming, because its gum content is very low. Coconut oil is highly saponifiable.
If the alkali refining is not controlled properly, will easily cause the additional loss of neutral oil and increase the refining consumption. In the decolorization process, the thermal sensitive pigments must be completely removed.
